MY CHILDHOOD
Hard working, funny, sympathic , empathic, sympathetic, calm, respectful,….these are some adjectives that describe Fermí Capell, a teacher that I will never forget about. He used to teach maths, catalan and spanish. Also I remember that he was our tutor.
Fermí used to explain us Ulisses stories. I remeber that when we behave in class, in the whiteboard he used to write a letter of the word “CONTE”, so when he arrived to the “E” he used to start a story about Ulisses. When the class finished, in the whiteboard, he used to stick “continuarà” (to be continued) anf he finished the story at next class. I also remember that he used to take care of all of us so he was very sympathic, also he used to talk to us after classes about how are the classes going or our marks,… One of the better thing that I remember about him is that he used to have a lot of pacience with us but however if we misbehaved, he used to erase one letter of the word “CONTE”. He used to show us intense loyality as he used to protect his students in the way he can.
On the other hand, I think that he used to never be demanding as he rarerly tell us to do homework. Fermí also was unpuntual because he used to go to a baker to buy a baguette for the afternoon. As the baker used to open at nine o’clock, I remember Fermí coming always to class 5 minutes late. Mr Capell used to make disgusting sounds with his mouth. Our tutor used to pull our ears when it was our birthday. I remember he pulling very hard my ears when I did 7 years old, he used to pull your ears the same number of times of your age.
All in all, Fermí used to do the most interesting classes, the most active exercices and the most alive ambient. I remember me learning to recognise the smell of the baguette that he used to take to school. Nowadays, after 8 years we still remember Fermí Capell as our best teacher of all the times.
